For the Arostegui Family, fishing is more than just a past time. It’s a sport, and one the entire family participates in together; Martin, Roberta, and their son Martini.  Not only do they take part, they catch World Record fish on a regular basis. Both Martin and Roberta Arostegui grace the list of World Records in the May/June issue of International Angler with multiple records awarded.
Roberta Arostegui has made a name for herself in the world of Female Anglers. She has won the International Women’s Fishing Association Anne Crowninshield Trophy for obtaining the most release points during the 2009 season. So it comes as no surprise to see her continue on her catching spree with pulling in a 350lb Black Marlin in April of this year.
Dr. Martin Arostegui and his son have put up impressive numbers in the World Record department as well.  Dr. Arostegui has over 200 records to date and his son Martini has over 80 records, with many years of fishing still to come. Martin continues to be active in searching for his next World Record fish. If you are familiar with fishing, you have heard of the Arosteguis. Arostegui has become synonymous with World Records.
The Arostegui family fishes out of Coral Gables, FL and are avid members of the IGFA.
